Introduction
Windows System Information file can be useful for troubleshooting an issue that occurs when working in Windows. Windows System Information export contains the following details:
- Operating system
- System drivers
- Running tasks
- Services
- Program groups
- Startup programs
Creating a Windows System Information file
You need to do the following to create a Windows System Information file:
- Open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information
- Choose the Save option in the File menu (or Action menu under Windows 2000), enter the File name and set the field Save as type to System Information File (*.NFO)
If the operating system is Windows NT, then please proceed as follows:
- Start->Programs->Administrative Tools (common)->Windows NT Diagnostics
- File -> Save Report
- Select Scope: "All tabs", Detail Level: "Complete", Destination: "File".
